É minha gente, estou no Brasil!!
Meu novo visual. Mentira.
My new look. Kidding.
My new look. Kidding.

Yes people, I am in Brazil!!
After 10 months I finally had the opportunity to come back! And I say opportunity because I didn’t come on vacation, I came on business and now I’m here working my ass off. But it’s cool to come back after such a long time and notice the little things that have changed (or not). Here goes a brief summary of my days in São Paulo so far:
* Blond Hair: according to my calculations, approximately 30% of white women here have some kind of dyed blond hair. Of this total, the look is very ugly and tacky in 80% of them! Impressive! I’m sorry if you may feel offended by my statement, but it’s just my opinion. I know things were not different when I left, but I notice it much more now!
* Workaholics: After all my complaining here on the blog about the massive extra working hours here in Hong Kong, I was happy to come to São Paulo and enjoy “normal” working hours or use the “Brazilian way” to go home early. Big mistake! More than once I left the office after 8pm, and usually around 7pm everyone is still working. And the worst part is to go home and still have to work the Hong Kong work…
* People: Ah, this is a good thing. It’s funny how you can miss the simple fact of being able to communicate with EVERYONE around you. Or just hearing people talking on the street, buses and subway. Not that I enjoy hearing other people’s conversation, but in Hong Kong most places are so silent… and it’s the best thing to know that they will treat you nicely. In HK the doorkeepers of the place I live barely look at me (“those germans” as the neighbor said one time about our apartment haha) and here they even remembered that I was travelling! ^^
Long story short, I am so happy to be here, seeing my family and friends! In exactly one week I will be back to Hong Kong. This trip made me realize that I have changed a lot in the past ten months, and that all that stuff they told me about this in AIESEC is actually true, but I will talk more about that next time.
