De volta à casa! / Back Home!

Finalmente tenho tempo para escrever! Sim, estou em casa, estou no Brasil! Que rufem os tambores e comece o samba!

...Hahaha, brincadeira! Eu nunca tinha passado tanto tempo longe de casa, então estou muito feliz mesmo por estar de volta! Eu até que estava nervosa antes de vir, são tantas coisa que preparar, e ninguem soube me dizer se estava fazendo calor ou frio em São Paulo, haha! E como estou a trabalho (já que só vindo pra trabalhar mesmo, porque a passagem é beeeem cara), tive que me assegurar que teria tudo preparado para as muitas reuniões que eu estou tendo aqui.

Está sendo isso mesmo: trabalhar, ver os amigos, estar com a familia... o tempo passa voando! Sem contar as coisas mais chatas com ter que resolver problemas no banco, renovar minha carteira de motorista, ir no dentista, etc. 

E, assustadoramente eu percebi que já estou mais acostumada com a vida lá em Hong Kong. As coisas "exóticas" de lá já não causam tanto estranhamento em mim. Acho que porque ainda tenho um tempinho razoável pela frente por lá, e agora já tenho uma situação mais estável, isso faz com que as coisas fiquem mais fáceis. 

Uma das coisas que as pessoas mais me perguntam é "e aí, você vai ficar em HK para sempre"? E a verdade é que eu realmente nem sei ainda quais são meus planos depois dos próximos 2 anos no qual eu com certeza estarei lá em Hong Kong. Mas por enquanto tá tudo bem, estou muito agradecida por tudo que eu consegui, e espero que continue assim!

Yay, I am finally having some time to write! And yes, I am home, back in Brazil! May the drums roll and the samba start!

...Heh, kidding! I had never spent such a long time away from home, so I am really, really happy to be back! I was a little bit nervous before leaving Hong Kong with so many things to pack and prepare. And no one could inform me properly if the weather was cold or hot in Sao Paulo. The weather here is crazy, haha! Since I am here for work (which seems to be the only way, since the air ticket is so expensive), I had to make sure that I would have everything ready for the many meetings I am having.

And that’s the situation now: work, meet friends, be with my family… time flies even faster! Not to mention some boring errands, like checking my bank account, renew my driver’s license, going to the dentist, etc.

During this time here I also realized that I am getting more used to the Hong Kong lifestyle. The “exotic East” doesn’t feel so weird for me anymore. Maybe because I still have a few more years there, and now that my life is more “stable”, things just get easier on their own.

One of the things that people here ask me the most is “so, are you staying in Hong Kong forever”? The truth is that I have no idea of what my plans will be at the end of the two years that I still have in Hong Kong. But for now is all good, I am very thankful for everything I achieved, and I hope to keep it that way!
